LOCATION : Geisinger Holy Spirit AGER : Nicole Griffie MAN WORK TYPE: Full Time SCHEDULE: 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) Rotating JOB SUMMARY: Administer and document professional nursing care to assigned patients in accordance with the Department of Nursing and Hospital policies and procedures. Make regular rounds to assigned patients, independently and with Physicians performing treatments as directed. Effectively prioritize, build relationships with patients, families and staff with the ability to react to emergency situations. This position plays a key role in contributing to patient satisfaction and establishing excellence in customer service. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Pennsylvania State RN license or RN Temporary Practice Permit Current BLS certification Current ACLS certification EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; enrollment in BSN program within 6 months of hire and BSN degree completion within 4 years of hire required Completion of a Critical Care course EXPERIENCE: One or more years of nursing experience Prior Emergency Department experience ABOUT GEISINGER: Geisinger Health System is an integrated health services organization widely recognized for its innovative use of the electronic health record and the development of innovative care delivery models such as ProvenHealth Navigator® and ProvenCare®.
