Position Summary: Provides patient care under the supervision of licensed staff, Charge Nurse, Unit Director, and Director of Nursing.

Working Relationships: Technicians are responsible to the RN. Daily contact with patients, students, medical staff, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, US, EMS, etc.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED.
 *Effective September 1, 2017, current BLS through the American Heart Association, or a previously approved provider, will be required before employment.
Previous experience in the medical field such as EMT or NA preferred. Professional credentialing including BLS.
Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies.
 
 
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently. Must occasionally, push or pull up to 350 lbs. using a force of 58 lbs., frequently sit, walk, and carry 10 lbs. up to 200 feet. Frequently standing and be able to perform fine and gross motor skills. Occasionally, crouching, squatting and kneeling. Physical coordinator, mobility, verbal articulation, vision, and learning must be easily performed. May be exposed to blood, body tissues and fluids regularly, as well as other hazardous waste materials. Must be able to tolerate environmental temperature fluctuations. May be exposed to radiation, toxins, dust, cytotoxins, and/or poisonous substances. May be exposed, periodically, to physical injury, burns, noise, and some electrical hazards. Must also be able to walk, stand extensively, bend, stoop, squat, visually discriminate close objects, hear and distinguish normal sounds.
