What You Will Do
As an Associate with St. Agnes Healthcare-MD, you will have the opportunity to
Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities:
Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate.
Assists with keeping patient's room clean, safe and orderly.
Other duties as assigned.
Receives assignment from the Nursing Administrative staff (nursing supervisor or secretary in the Nursing Office), receives report from the nurse, and remains with the patient until relieved.
Must be within one arms length of the patient at all times on duty. Assists with mobility activities including ambulation and transfers.
Notifies the nurse assigned to the patient immediately of any change in the patients behavior or condition using the nurse call system and communicating the necessary information to the nurse by informing the nurse of any changes in mental status and any patient complaints or other problems.
Attends to patents needs and reports needs and interactions to the RN. Provides assistance to the patients with activities of daily living, including feeding, turning, toileting, and providing a safe environment.
What You Will Need
Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or military CPR-First Aid training.
Certified Nurse Aide credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
HS or Equivalent
Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Required: 6 months relative experience. Preferred: Previous CNA experience.
